October 2 is the birth anniversary of India’s 2 greatest leaders. So let us talk about these 2 influential men of our Indian history – one who experimented with the truth so that prosperity could be achieved in our nation. And the other one is a great freedom fighter. No Indian can ever forget these two legends for their Independence movement of India against British rule.
Mahatma Gandhi, after doing his school went to England for the study of law. Later, when returned to India, he started the powerful and non-violent movement against the British rule to help Indians and make India an Independent nation. He is the one who led the Dandi March in 1930. He inspired many people to fight from the British rule for their own freedom. As a great freedom fighter, he was arrested many times by the British man but he stood always against British rule for the freedom of Indians. He is the greatest figure of our nation who really served power to make us free from British rule and regulation. He proved that everything is possible with the help of unity of person and non- violence. Even after many years of his death, he is still alive in the Indian people heart as “Greatest father of the Nation and Bapu”.
October 2 also marks the birth anniversary of Lal Bahadur Shastri, the man who gave the ever inspiring slogan of “Jai Jawan, Jai Kishan”, underlying this is the innermost sentiments “Jai Hindustan”. He was the 2nd prime minister of India. He was a great patriot. He was born in 2nd October 1904 in Mughal sari UP. When he was a boy he joined the Congress party. He also took an active part in the first non-cooperation movement. He dropped his studies and went to jail in 1920 for the sake of the nation. He did an unforgettable work for the freedom of India. He began his career under serious problems. During his short time, he showed that he possessed a wonderful power to face ever problem bravely. Shastri Ji died at Tashkent in the night soon after signing of the historic pact. The nation mourned his death. May his soul rest in peace in heaven! We will never forget him for his selfless work.
